Sharing the news on Instagram on Monday (November 3), Dowden assured her fans that the surgery was “not to treat the new cancer diagnosis” and that her medical team is confident “everything is going well, I can look forward to straight away recovery”.

“Once I recover I look forward to reuniting with my strictly Family,” he added.

On Saturday (November 8) evening, Dowden revealed she had returned home after the procedure and was ready to watch the latest episode of the BBC dancing competition.

“Home, resting, still up from sleep, but already ready for the best entertainment and medicine for me… @bbcstrictly,” she wrote on Instagram.

He further said, “All the best to everyone.” “Encouraging you all from home! Lots of good wishes and love xxxxx.”

The dancer shared a photo of herself sitting on her couch sipping a cup of tea, along with another photo of her and her friends and family gathered around the TV.

strictly Host Claudia Winkleman shared her support for Dowden by commenting with a series of heart emojis, while 2025 contestant Karen Carney said she was “sending lots of love”.

Dowden was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer after discovering a lump in her chest shortly before leaving on their honeymoon in 2023.

She had a mastectomy, but was then told that the tumor had spread and that she would have to begin a course of chemotherapy, which she avoided attending that year. strictly Competition.
