The Amber Alert released on Thursday evening for the eight -month -old boy last seen in Brampton was canceled after being found in safe and good health, Peel Regional Police confirmed,
Officials told Citynues that the suspect, 40-year-old Shahzib Memon, who is believed to have been taken to the child, was arrested at Brampton at around 2 pm on Friday after a province-wide discovery. Police have also recovered suspected vehicles, a Nissan wicked.
The child was found “in good health” in a walmart in the field of the resolution drive and Steels Avenue East after being released by the suspect.
The PRP confirmed with Citinues that the man in custody is the uncle of the baby.
