Amazon Great Summer Sale starts from May 2; Discounts, bank offers teased

The dates for the Amazon Great Summer Sale are now official. Online sales in India will begin on May 2 with hundreds of deals across various product categories. Like previous Amazon discount sales, the sale will start early for Prime members. Prices of products like mobile phones, accessories, beauty and fashion items, laptops, tablets, smartwatches, earbuds and smart TVs are expected to be cut during the sale. Additionally, Amazon has teamed up with ICICI Bank, Bank of Baroda and One Card to offer additional discounts for its card users.

A microsite Amazon Great Summer Sale has gone live on the Indian website of the e-commerce company. The sale for all members starts at noon on May 2. Customers with Amazon Prime subscription can avail the sale from midnight on the same day.

Amazon Great Summer Sale will offer up to 45 percent discount on mobile phones and accessories. There will be price cuts on smartphones from brands including OnePlus, Redmi and Realme during the sale. Amazon hasn’t revealed the full list of deals, but price cuts on phones including the OnePlus 11R 5G, Redmi 13C, IQ Z6 Lite, Realme Narzo 70 Pro 5G, and Redmi 12 5G have been confirmed.

Up to 75 percent discount is assured on laptops, smartwatches and headphones while up to 65 percent discount will be available on TVs and appliances. Sony WH-1000XM4 wireless headphones, Amazfit Active smartwatch, and Apple iPad (10th generation) are expected to get big discounts in the upcoming summer sale. There will be up to 70 percent discount on home and kitchen products and 50 percent to 80 percent discount on fashion and beauty products. The sale has been confirmed to offer up to 45 percent off on Amazon Echo (with Alexa), Fire TV, and Kindle devices.

Apart from the usual discounts, Amazon India is offering an additional 10 percent cashback to app users who pay using ICICI, Bank of Baroda, and OneCard cards.
