Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today started a wide IEC (Information, Education and Communication) campaign and various innovative initiatives of the Directorate of Rural Sanitation, a permanent and zero-Balbad pilgrimage of the Directorate of IEC (Information, Education and Communication) Campaign and the Directorate of Rural Sanitation.
The initiatives include Yatra logo, travelum, campaign website and MIS portal, trinetra apps, pamphlets and yatrity guidelines, Yatra Kajot and IEC toolkit, which aims to promote permanent practices, share hygiene issues, share verified information, and attach Yatris with Yatris.
The campaign website www.shriamarnathjiyatra.com and a MIS portal will serve as the central center for all information, updates and resources, while the browser-based mobile application www.zerowasteyatra.app will provide real-time information and assistance to the pilgrims.
Pamphlets and travel guidelines are designed for the guidelines, anchor organizers, shopkeepers, and service providers, which are focused on ensuring waste minimalization along the vetal route, discouraging single-use plastic and implementing SBM-G criteria.
The Tinetra app will significantly increase the pilgrim experience through cleanliness facilities, safety alerts and will make them aware of the values ​​of cleanliness during its pilgrimage.
Ms. Anu Malhotra, Director General, Rural Sanitation informed the Lieutenant Governor on the dedicated measures taken by the department, so that the journey can be made more durable.
It was reported that the department has installed a total of 5613 toilets / bathing units, both on the axes, 2920 of which are on the Axis and 2693 on the Baltal axis. In addition, 7361 hygiene workers are deployed to ensure sanitation units to ensure hygiene. The department has also set up 15 processing facilities for solid waste management on both axes.
