A pickup truck is pulled from a ditch after a collision on Highway 400 in Innisfil on Friday.

Eyewitnesses told police that the vehicle was seen driving erratically before colliding with the ambulance.

Officials say two paramedics who were inside the ambulance at the time of the crash escaped without injuries. Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle was taken into custody and arrested for impaired driving. The police have not revealed his identity.

Photos from the scene showed a black, four-door pickup truck being pulled from a ditch and an ambulance, which had some damage to its rear bumper.

The crash closed two southbound lanes on Highway 400.

Police say that the investigation is ongoing.
