“All the patients are out of danger”: Rajnath Singh in Jammu and Kashmir after meeting with those injured in installment cloudburst

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh visited the Government Medical College in Jammu on Sunday and met with the injured at the installment Claudbst on 14 August.

Union Minister Jitendra Singh and Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha were with Singh during their visit.
Addressing reporters, Rajnath Singh said that all the injured are out of danger and are recovering properly.
“I came to see the injured in the incident in Kishtwar. The Prime Minister is also concerned about the incident and he also wanted to know about the situation, so I have come here. I wanted to go to the spot. But it is not possible to go there due to bad weather. It is being informed.
Due to adverse weather conditions, he could not reach the peculiar cloudburst site.
Rajnath Singh reached the first Jammu airport today and was obtained by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha.
On August 14, there was a cloudburst during the Machal Mata Yatra, killing more than 60 people. Claudbsts suddenly caused flash floods during the pilgrimage, resulting in widespread destruction and deaths. NDRF, SDRF, Jammu and Kashmir Police, CISF, teams of Indian Army and local administration are engaged in rescue efforts, which are now in their eighth day.
Earlier today, LG Sinha visited Government Medical College (GMC) Jammu to meet the victims of CloudBust disaster in Kishtwar district. During his visit, he hoped for his fast recovery and detailed relief efforts.
Addressing reporters, LG Sinha said, “Everyone is stable, and I hope everyone will recover quickly and return home. The incident was very unfortunate and many people have lost their lives.” He praised the officials for his efforts, given that 32 persons are missing and search operations are going on.
Sinha said that Rs 4.13 crore has been distributed to the victims so far and assured that the state and central governments will ensure rehabilitation of affected families. (AI)
