A seven-member all-party delegation is set to visit prominent partner countries, including members of the United Nations Security Council, in the context of continuous fighting against Operation Sindor and India’s cross-border terrorism.
The following members of Parliament will lead seven delegates: Congress leader Shashi Tharoor, BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad, Jadu leader Sanjay Kumar Jha, BJP leader Bajayant Panda, DMK leader Kanimoji Karunanidhi, NCP (SP) leader Supriya leader Shind Shin
In a post on X, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju said that India is united, and seven all-party delegations will soon visit the lead partner nations.
“In those moments that matters the most, India units unite. Seven all-party delegations will soon visit the leading fellow nations, which will take our shared message of zero tolerance for terrorism. Beyond politics, a powerful reflection of national unity, beyond differences,” Rijiju posted on X.
The all-party delegation will project India’s national consent and firm approach to combat terrorism in all forms and manifestations. He used to carry forward the strong message of the country of zero tolerance against terrorism in the world.
Members of Parliament from various parties, major political personalities and reputed diplomats will be part of each delegation.
The tour is expected to last 10 days starting on 23 May. Groups of MPs are expected to visit several major world capitals including the United States, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, South Africa and Japan.
This is the first time that the Center will deput MPs from several parties to present India’s stand on Kashmir and will present the cross -border terrorism from Pakistan.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju is leading coordination efforts for this international tour, leading to an important step in India’s diplomatic outreach.
India launched Operation Sindor on 22 May on 22 April in response to the Pahgam terror attack in which 26 people were killed. More than 100 terrorists died in India’s exact attack in Pakistan and Pojk on 7 May. (AI)
