Israeli Ambassador to India Reuven Azar strongly condemned Iran’s missile attack, calling it an “unprecedented” step in human history. He said Iran would pay a heavy price for this “serious mistake.” In an interview with India Today, Azar said that Israel hopes for peace and stability, but cannot succumb to aggression.
The Israeli ambassador said that Iran launched 181 ballistic missiles, each loaded with 700 to 1,000 kilograms of explosives, which could cause significant damage. “Iran launched 181 ballistic missiles that could have destroyed the entire building and killed many people,” the Israeli envoy said.

Credit to allies for foiling Iranian attack
Azar praised Israel’s missile defense system and its international allies, especially the United States and neighboring Arab countries, for thwarting the attack. “Some of our missiles landed in open areas, but thank God we are safe. Israel has the best missile systems in the world,” he said.
The missile did not cause any damage where it landed.
Azar rejected claims that Iran sabotaged an Israeli air base and said the area where the missile landed did not cause much damage. The Israeli envoy also criticized the use of Iranian resources for military purposes. “Iran is spending billions of dollars building this war machine while its people face a water crisis… Instead, they are trying to strangle Israel by building an army of terror,” he said.

‘Iran will have to pay the price’
Turning to the larger conflict, the Israeli envoy said Iranian proxies such as Hamas and Hezbollah had suffered significant defeats and that Iran was now directly involved. He warned that “Iran has made a huge mistake…Nasrallah has been killed…They no longer have their greatest proxy and decided to continue direct confrontation with Israel, and they will pay the price.”
