Ali’s reaction: Twist in the surprising tale of Nobel Peace Prize!

That’s quite a plot twist for us!

Although the Nobel Committee had its head firmly tilted back, others are thinking more clearly. Including the woman to whom he had given the peace price.

In a classy and wise move, she dedicated her award to President Trump, who she said deserved it!

As wlt report First reported:

The Nobel Peace Prize winner has been announced.

And, of course, the committee snubbed President Trump for awarding the prize to Venezuelan peace activist María Corina Machado.

But, in a major change, Machado immediately dedicated the award to President Trump!

To keep an eye:

The Nobel Peace Prize Committee today awarded the prize to a Venezuelan peace activist, and do you know what he did?

Here is Maria Machado’s full statement on X:

This recognition of the struggle of all Venezuelans is an encouragement to carry out our task: to achieve independence.

This recognition of the struggle of all Venezuelans is an encouragement to carry out our task: to achieve independence.

We are on the threshold of victory and today, more than ever, we count on President Trump, the people of the United States, the people of Latin America, and the democracies of the world as our key allies in securing freedom and democracy.

I dedicate this award to President Trump for his decisive support of the suffering people of Venezuela and our cause!

this is so amazing.

I’m sure that’s what the Nobel Peace Committee was hoping for!

reuters has more:

Venezuelan opposition leader Maria Corina Machado Won the Nobel Peace Prize 2025 on Friday for fighting dictatorship in the country and partially dedicated the award to America. President Donald TrumpWho has repeatedly insisted that he deserves it.

Machado, a 58-year-old industrial engineer in hiding, was barred by Venezuelan courts from running for president in 2024 and thereby challenging President Nicolas Maduro, who has been in power since 2013.

“Oh my God… I have no words,” Machado told Kristian Berg Harpviken, secretary of the prize organization, in a phone call that was posted by the Nobel committee on social media.

She said, “I thank you very much, but I hope you understand that this is a movement, this is the achievement of an entire society. I’m just one person. I certainly don’t deserve this.”

Don’t get me wrong: After ending eight wars in a single year, President Trump absolutely deserved to win the Nobel Peace Prize.

But, in many ways, it’s even better than President Trump receiving the award himself.

Honestly, that’s almost better than what Trump got.

His dedicating it to Trump and, in doing so, giving a giant middle finger to the Nobel Peace Prize committee…

…yes, it’s even better than Trump estimated

Salute to Maria.
