Ecclestone has now taken nine wickets in three matches and his experience has been described as “so valuable” by all-rounder Capsey, another spinner who himself has taken three wickets so far.
“Soph has been unbelievable, the way she has made her mark in the three games we have played so far in this tournament,” the 21-year-old said.
“We’ve seen a lot of this in her career so far, but I think the way she’s going about things, especially in this tournament where there’s such a huge turn around, she’s been brilliant in assessing the conditions so quickly, using her experience and figuring out what pace she wants to bowl to get the most out of the wicket. It’s been impressive.
“Knowing when to attack and when to control the game, she reads the game very well and has a lot of experience.
“It adds a level of calmness and wisdom to this spin attack that is very valuable.”

“It was really special to see Nat get a century the other day. As a batting unit, we’ve talked about building our partnerships from the 20s and 30s to the 60s and 70s and really working together, so there are a few more contributors in the top order.
“Then in our bowling too, we have a world-class spin attack and our seamers are also performing really well.
“There’s a lot of different aspects and different parts we’re talking about, which is great. I think it’s a really good place to be three out of three and still talk about a percentage where you can improve and take to the next game.”
Pakistan are still searching for their first points in the tournament after losses to Bangladesh, India and Australia.
In their last match, Pakistan restricted Australia to 76 runs for seven wickets, in response to which Beth Mooney scored a century and then got out for 114 runs while chasing the target of 222 runs.
