Ali Mohammad Sagar of JKNC emphasizes high-level PWD review meeting, transparency and timely execution

Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) General Secretary and MLA Khanyar, Ali Mohammad Sagar, who also served as the Chairman of the Public Undertaking Committee, presided over a major review meeting with the Public Works Department (PWD) today.

The high-level meeting focuses on accelerating the development of infrastructure and ensuring efficiency, transparency and public-centric progress in ongoing projects.

The prominent attendees included Anil Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary PWD; Manoj Kumar Pandit, Secretary J&K Vidhan Sabha; Fayz Ahmed Lone, Director General Accounts and Treasury; Mazhar Khan, Director Finance (PWD); Sajad Hussain Gani, Director Expenditure (Finance); And Principal Accountant General’s office officer.

With the emphasis on increasing regional connectivity and improving access to citizens, road upgradation, bridge construction and urban infrastructure focused views around.

Chairman Sagar underlined the significant importance of timely execution, quality control and accountability in all PWD initiatives. He urged the officials to prioritize public facilities and strictly follow the deadline project without compromising on the standards.

“We must ensure that the infrastructure not only meets current needs, but also durable for future generations,” Sagar said. “Each rupee should be accounted for, and our collective efforts should be translated into tangible public benefits.”

The meeting also addressed the need for inter-departmental coordination for fund flow, monitoring mechanism, and fast-track important projects.

Confirming its role as an active overseer, Sagar promised to maintain regular reviews and promote the culture of cooperation and good governance to maintain regular reviews and achieve impressive results.
