Jammu, August 14, KDC: Under the leadership of UT President Ghulam Mohammad Sophie presented a charter of demands through the All Jammu and Kashmir Patwar Association (AJKPA), Revenue, Jammu and Kashmir of Financial Commissioner (FC) on Thursday, and a formal memorandum.
During the meeting, SOFI handed over a few minutes of a recent meeting issued by Commissioner Secretary Revenue Rajiv Ranjan, stating that the Patwaris were directed to complete four major assignments within a week – a instruction that he called impractical. On knowing that the instruction came from the Commissioner Secretary, FC Revenue immediately approached him and set up a follow -up meeting with the AJKPA delegation for August 18 to resolve the issue.
One of the major demands discussed was the rationalization of GQ Circle and Patwar Halakas. FC Revenue expressed full support, accepting that the rationalization would significantly reduce the pressure of the charge on the party, and assured that the process would be completed in the shortest time.
Ajkpa expressed gratitude C revenue for “patient and thoughtful hearing” and said it is ready to take concrete action on its demands. (KDC)
