Aishwarya Tomar wins Men’s 50m Rifle 3P National Trials, creates world record. shooting news

Olympian shooter Aishwarya Tomar improved her world record score by winning the men’s 50m rifle 3 positions (3P) national trials in Bhopal on Monday. 23-year-old Tomar, who was part of the Indian team that won the gold medal in 50m rifle 3 positions at the 2023 World Championships, stamped his class with a score of 466.4 in the final. The current world record in this event is 466.1. Tomar was representing Madhya Pradesh in the national trials.

Navyman Neeraj Kumar finished second while Goldie Gurjar finished third for her second consecutive podium finish in the trials.

Tamil Nadu’s R Narmada Nithin won the women’s 10m air rifle trial. Narmada scored 251.8 to deprive another local favourite, Aashi Chouksey, who finished second on the day. Nisha Kanwar of Rajasthan stood third.

Uttar Pradesh’s Neha defeated two experienced rivals to win the women’s 25m pistol title on the third day of the National Rifle/Pistol Selection Trials at the MP State Shooting Academy Range.

Neha won the crown with 31 hits in the final. Olympian and former Asian Games champion Rahi Sarnobat finished second with 29 points, while another experienced woman pistol shooter Anisa Sayyad finished third with 22 points.
