Air Canada flight attendant plan “Action of Day” for YVR

As the negotiations started again on Friday to try to avoid a possible strike in Air Canada next week, the airline flight attendants are planning a “day of action” at Canadian airports on Monday.

Demonstration at Toronto Piercene International Airport and Billy Bishop Airport is scheduled for 1 pm on August 11.

“This action is in direct response as to where things are standing on the table. With your support and your presence, we send a powerful message: your participation is important. It’s time to stand up. It’s our time that is the time to stand strong.”

For now, Air Canada and Cup are looking at a positive note.

The airline says it is focusing on reaching a deal and is not planning to cancel any flight at this point.
