Air Canada is canceling some flights prescribed for today as it prepares for a possible task stagnation at the end of this week.
The union representing around 10,000 flight attendants is set to strike before 1 pm on Saturday. Air Canada has also issued a lockout notice for the same time.
The airline says that it will start canceling flights with more disruption on Friday and a complete stagnation till Saturday, if no deal has been done.
In a statement, the airline says that the affected customers will be eligible for full refunds. This has arranged “possible” for other Canadians and International carriers for alternative travel options.
Air Canada has requested the intermediary directed by the government in an attempt to escape the shutdown.
So far, Ottawa has not indicated that it will step inside.
