Hyderabad, Oct 26 (IANS) The All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has demanded an independent inquiry into the incident in which a rowdy was shot dead by the Deputy Commissioner of Police in Hyderabad.

AIMIM MLA from Bahadurpura constituency of the city Mohammad Mubeen met Omar Ansari who is undergoing treatment in the hospital.

The MLA spoke to doctors, who declared the condition of the injured to be stable.

The AIMIM leader said Ansari was shot in one hand and near the stomach and is on ventilator. He said only an independent investigation can bring out the truth.
