Minister of Health and Medical Education, Minister of Social Welfare and Education, Sakeena IToo today inspected a site of construction works going on at All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Awantiipora.
During the journey, Minister Sekena made a detailed evaluation of the speed and quality of the work being done in one of Kashmir’s most important healthcare infrastructure project.
During the inspection, the minister interacted with engineers and other officials involved in the execution of the project. He expressed concern over the delay in the report and emphasized the need for all pending tasks to be completed rapidly in strict adherence to the scheduled timeline.
Minister Sekena reiterated that AMS Avtipora is a major project that has the ability to change the health care landscape of the region by bringing world -class facilities close to the doors of the people.
“This is not just a building, it is a beacon of hope for Kashmir and further advanced healthcare. Any delay in executing this important project is a delay in providing essential services to our people,” Sekena said.
He urged the executed agencies to urge to resolve rapid bottlenecks and ensure round-the-lock efforts to complete the project time.
The minister further directed the concerned execution agency to submit regular progress reports and ensure that the project completes its fixed time limit without compromising on quality or safety standards.
MLA Pampore, Justion (Retd.) Hasanan Masudi; MLA Rajpora, Ghulam Mohi Udin Mir; Director of Health, AYUSH and Family Welfare, officials of the execution agency, senior officials of the district administration and other concerned officials also accompanied the minister during the visit.
