Amid the ongoing farmers’ protest in Delhi, Union Agriculture Minister Arjun Munda on Tuesday appealed to the farmers and farmer organizations associated with the protest to maintain peace.

“I would appeal to the farmers and farmer organizations associated with this (protest) to maintain peace. We have to take it from discussion to solution. We should keep discussing this issue. We all want peace and we have to come together and Must work.” Find a solution to this issue,” he said.

The Union Minister said, “We tried to discuss the government’s side and many proposals were also discussed. We have come to know that they (farmers) are not satisfied with the proposals, but this discussion should continue and we should find a solution peacefully.” Should be taken out.”

Referring to the farmers’ rejection of the government’s proposal on MSP, Mr. Munda said that they welcome good opinions.

“We want to do good and to do that many opinions can be given, because we always welcome good opinions. But to find the way how that opinion will be useful, dialogue is the only way. The solution must be through dialogue. It will come out.” Out,” he said.

After the Center brought a proposal to buy crops at the Minimum Support Price (MSP), farmers on Monday evening rejected the proposal saying there was nothing in it for them.

Meanwhile, ahead of the farmers’ ‘Delhi Chalo’ march to be held on February 21, farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher targeted the Center and said that the government is stopping the farmers from entering Delhi and the farmers are not allowed to take out the march on Wednesday. should be given.

“The intention of the government was very clear that they will not allow us to enter Delhi at any cost… If you do not want to find a solution through discussions with the farmers then we should be allowed to march towards Delhi. .. When we moved towards Delhi, there was shelling… Bullets were also fired on the tires of tractors… Haryana DGP has said that they are not using tear gas on farmers… We are refusing to use it. We demand punishment for those involved… Wrong statements are also being made… The situation in Haryana is like Kashmir. We will march towards Delhi on 21st February. The government has given us a proposal so that we can fulfill our basic demands. Step back from the government will be responsible for this, whatever happens now, said farmer leader Sarwan Singh.

Addressing a press conference, farmer leader Jagjit Singh Dallewal said that after discussion the forums rejected the proposal on MSP.

“After discussion in both the forums, it has been decided that if you analyze there is nothing in the government’s proposal. Our government imports palm oil worth Rs 1.75 crore from outside which also causes diseases to the general public. If This money should be given, he said, “If MSP is announced for the farmers of the country to grow oilseed crops, then that money can be used here. This is not in favor of farmers. We reject it.”

He said, “If the government is not giving legal guarantee of MSP, it means that the farmers of the country will continue to be looted. This is not acceptable.”

After the fourth round of talks, Punjab Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Samiti general secretary Sarwan Singh Pandher said that farmers will continue to move ahead with the ‘Delhi Chalo’ march on February 21 and the proposed resolution will also be discussed. Government on MSP.

The agitating farmers of Punjab have raised various demands including an ordinance on ensuring legal guarantee for MSP and loan waiver.

Both sides – ministers and farmer leaders – had earlier met on February 8, 12 and 15 but the talks remained inconclusive.
