Patna, November 22 (IANS) After AIMIM’s victory on five seats in the Bihar Assembly elections, party chief and Lok Sabha MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Saturday thanked the people of Seemanchal region.

Addressing a public meeting at Jokihat in Kishanganj, he described the mandate as a great blessing from Allah and expressed deep gratitude for the support given to his party.

Asaduddin Owaisi said that he will never forget the respect that the people of Seemanchal have given to AIMIM and assured them that he will continue to raise the voice of the region.

He said that by ensuring the success of AIMIM, the people of Seemanchal have sent a strong message to the entire country – which will resonate in Uttar Pradesh too by giving strength to the poor.

Urging the local MLA to remain dedicated to public service, he said, “When you work for the people today, Allah will give you success.”

Reiterating his gratitude, Owaisi said that the faith of the people has proved that a united Seemanchal does not need the support of any other political force.

He commented, “Today, others have lost sleep.”

Acknowledging that mistakes may have been made, Owaisi said, “We are human; we make mistakes. We may be guilty, but not traitors.”

He described the electoral success as a blessing from God and pledged to protect and strengthen it. He promised that the shortcomings would be rectified and the mistakes would not be repeated.

Owaisi assured that he will continue to tour Seemanchal and will also visit the areas where AIMIM did not win to thank the people there.

Without taking RJD’s name, he indirectly took a dig at the party by saying, “Those whom I had once helped are now crying. People sitting in Patna considered me weak.”

During the 2020 assembly elections, AIMIM had won five seats in the Seemanchal region of Bihar. However, four of them later joined RJD.
