Patna: As the campaign for the first phase of Bihar assembly elections ended on Tuesday, the BJP claimed that there is a strong wave in favor of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
Speaking to IANS, BJP leader Rohan Gupta said, “The situation is clear – the wave is in favor of the NDA. People see this election as a battle between good governance and bad governance, between ‘jungle raj’ and development. The victory will be for progress and effective governance. The public has experienced 20 years of good governance and has also seen the era of jungle raj; they have not forgotten that period. People understand that the ongoing wave of development will continue under the NDA. They will reject Jungle Raj and vote for NDA’s victory.”
BJP leader Shahnawaz Hussain said, “The election campaign will stop today. It is clearly visible that the Grand Alliance has lagged far behind in the campaign. The Congress is not even fighting the elections with its full strength, whereas it had shown its energy during the ‘Ghuspathiya Bachao Yatra’.” It seems that the Congress is working against the RJD, which has ensured that the Grand Alliance’s campaign has almost collapsed. On the other hand, the NDA has run an excellent and energetic campaign. Have driven.”
BJP spokesperson Pratul Shahdev said, “The election campaign for 121 seats will end this evening. We are confident of achieving almost 70 per cent of our target of a clear majority. In Bihar, it is completely NDA – the wave is clearly visible in the rallies addressed by the Prime Minister, our national president and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. People are excited and united to reject Tejashwi Yadav and the return of jungle raj.”
Campaigning for the first phase will officially end at 5 pm on Tuesday in 121 assembly constituencies across 18 districts. Voting for this phase will be held on November 6 amid tight security arrangements.
On the final day of campaigning, star campaigners and senior leaders from all major political alliances, including the NDA, the Grand Alliance and other parties, will make their final efforts to woo voters through rallies, public meetings and road shows.
