New Delhi, Nov 2 (IANS) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday concluded a busy day in poll-bound Bihar with a visit to the revered Takht Sri Harmandir Ji Patna Sahib, where he offered prayers and paid homage to Sikh gurus.
According to a statement from the Prime Minister’s Office, PM Modi described his visit as a “very divine experience” and said the great teachings of the Sikh Gurus continue to inspire the entire human race.
Sharing highlights of his visit in a post on Twitter, the Prime Minister said, “The great teachings of the Sikh Gurus inspire the entire human race. This Gurudwara has a very close association with Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji, whose courage and commitment to justice is very inspiring.”
Takht Sri Harmandir Ji Patna Sahib, one of the five Takhts of Sikhism, holds immense religious significance as it is the birthplace of the tenth and last Sikh Guru, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
Earlier, the Prime Minister led a grand road show in Patna, which ended at Bakarganj after passing through Dinkar Golambar, Nala Road, Bari Path and Thakurbari Road. As he traveled in a vehicle decorated with flowers amid chants and slogans, thousands of people gathered on the way to welcome him.
A road show was organized in support of NDA candidates ahead of the upcoming assembly elections in Bihar.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister reiterated his commitment to turn Bihar into a major hub for the ‘Make in India’ initiative, and said only a “double engine government” led by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar can realize this vision.
Addressing a rally in Arrah, PM Modi said, “‘Make in India’ is creating waves across the world and our aim is for Bihar to become the epicenter of this important mission.”
Highlighting Bihar’s progress in the fisheries sector, the Prime Minister said the state, which was once dependent on fish imports, now supplies fish to other parts of the country. He attributed this achievement to the pro-development policies of the NDA government.
Emphasizing that the NDA manifesto focuses on empowerment and upliftment, PM Modi said, “Every promise, every scheme is dedicated to the rapid development of Bihar.” He said the NDA has presented an honest and visionary manifesto for the progress of the state.
Targeting the opposition alliance, the Prime Minister accused the Grand Alliance of infighting and deception.
PM Modi said, “On one side is the honest manifesto of NDA and on the other side are the people of Jungle Raj who have turned their manifesto into a document of lies and deception.”
He also targeted Congress and RJD, alleging internal divisions within the alliance over the chief ministerial candidate for the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections.
