Patna, September 24 (IANS) Patna has turned into a political hotspot as the Congress Working Committee (CWC) held its historic meeting in Bihar for the first time.
To participate by top Congress leaders including Mallikrajun Kharge, Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, to make party employees energetic, strategies for the upcoming elections and strengthen the India block against the BJP.
After CWC discussions, Rahul Gandhi is going to hold an important meeting with RJD leader and former Deputy Chief Minister Tejashvi Yadav in Patna at 4 pm.
According to the internal sources in the party, talks 2025 will focus on seat-sharing system for Bihar assembly elections and a joint campaign strategy-a major battleground for the coalition.
Seat-sharing is expected to be the most sensitive issue.
Congress sources said that the party is demanding at least 70 seats, while RJD is not allegedly ready to accept more than 60.
Left -wing parties and VIPs are also pressurizing their share, complicating conversations.
While RJD considers itself a major opposition force in Bihar, the Congress is eager to take advantage of the alliance for reconstruction of its low base in the state.
Analysts say that Rahul-Tajshvi’s meeting will indicate whether the alliance may introduce a united front.
A senior Congress strategist said, “If there is disagreement in the seats, the BJP can directly benefit.”
The India Block is expected to emphasize issues like unemployment, inflation, education and healthcare to counter the BJP’s story.
This high-profile meeting follows the days of intensive political activity in Bihar, Congress leaders stressed that Patna CWC reflects the party’s intentions to regain the lost ground in the state, strengthening the comprehensive opposition alliance.
CWC meeting and Rahul-Tijashvi Hadle marked an important moment for the opposition.
A successful result Congress can activate workers, strengthen India’s block, and form the basis for a serious challenge for NDA in the 2025 high-day Bihar assembly elections.
