Seraikela:
Police said on Monday that after a family quarrel in Seraikela-Kharsawan district of Jharkhand, the mother of three children jumped into a well along with them, due to which they died.
The woman, identified as Pooja Mahato, was rescued by villagers and taken to the community health center in Kharsawan.
Pooja, a resident of Lohardaga district, had a dispute with her husband on Saturday over going to her maternal home.
Sub-divisional police officer (Seraikela) Dilip Khalko said that the woman jumped into the well along with her three children when her husband had gone to Ranchi for some work.
Three minors, identified as Komal Kumari (9), Ananya Mahato (5) and Aryan Mahato, died and Pooja was rescued.
He said that after receiving the information, a police team reached the spot and recovered the body in the evening. He said that the woman has been admitted to a nearby hospital.
The official said that the bodies have been sent to the hospital for post-mortem.
