Afghan man claims to be 140 years old, forces the Taliban to start an investigation

The Taliban has started an investigation into a person’s claims that he is 140 years old, which will make him the oldest person who ever drove the Earth’s face. A man, known as Akal Nazir, living in the eastern Khost province of the country, claims that he was born in the 1880s, although he has no documents to support his claim.

According to a report in WireMr. Nazir took an oath that he was in his thirtyth decade during the third Anglo-Afghan War in 1919. He claimed that Afghan leader had celebrated the end of the war with King Amanullah Khan, who started a campaign against the British.

“I was in the palace with King Amanullah Khan at that time. I was more than 30 at that time and I remember the British ran away and fell down,” said Mr. Nazir.

“Everyone was happy and thanked King Amanullah Khan for chasing the British. Many leaders came with us. [presidential palace]But now all of them have passed away. ,

Mr. Nazir lives with a big, multi-generated family, who also claims that he is the oldest person in the world.

“I am 50 years old. He is my grandfather, and my grandchildren are also,” said Wazir, one of the grandson of Mr. Nazir.

Responding to Mr. Nazir’s claim, a Taliban spokesman Mustaghafar Gurbaz said that a special civil registration team was suppressed in service to verify his age.

“If confirmed by documents or assessments, we will work to register him as the oldest person in the world,” said Mr. Gurbaz.
