Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has been given immediate relief in the affected families on Saturday and adequate teams have been deployed to conduct rescue operations in Kishtwar after the Claudbst tragedy.
Talking to reporters after meeting the affected families, the Chief Minister, the news agency- Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that he can understand the sentiments of the affected families, want their beloved to be alive or dead.
He said, “Immediate relief has been given among the affected families. The Chief Minister’s Relief Fund will also be used for them.”
He said that adequate teams including NDRF, SDRF, Army, J&K Police and others have been deployed to conduct rescue operations. He said, “So far, the count of death is around 60 and 70–80.
He said that the affected families have been sought to be transferred from their places, but they would consult a team of experts to ensure that they are not transferred to any location that would be more prone to such incidents.
The Chief Minister said that hilly areas like Jammu, Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand are prone to cloudbers, and they will consult a team of experts to have a detailed arrangement to stop any such tragedies – (KNO)
