Isiah Whitlock Jr.the character actor best known for playing corrupt Senator Clay Davis electric wirealready dead. He is 71 years old.

The Indiana-born actor is also known for his role in “Veep,” “Chappell’s Show,” “Law & Order” And a few Spike Lee movies.

The news was announced by his agent, Brian Liebman Instagramwrote: “It is with great sadness that I share the passing of my dear friend and client Isiah Whitlock Jr. If you knew him, you loved him. A wonderful actor and an even better person. May his memory always be a blessing. Our hearts are so broken. We will miss him so, so much.”

Whitlock reportedly died peacefully in New York after a brief illness.

Born September 13, 1954 in South Bend, Indiana. He graduated from John Adams High School in 1972 and later attended Southwestern Minnesota State University. He initially received a football scholarship, but a series of injuries caused him to focus on an acting career.
