‘Acting in self-defence’: India reacts to Iran’s attack on Jaish al-Adl bases in Pakistan

Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal reiterated India’s unwavering position of zero tolerance towards terrorism.

India on Wednesday reacted to Iran’s attacks on terrorist group Jaish al-Adl’s hideouts in Pakistan, saying it is a matter between the two countries. However, New Delhi said it understands “actions taken by countries in their self-defense”.

Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal reiterated India’s unwavering position of zero tolerance towards terrorism.

He said, we understand the actions that countries take in self-defense.

“This is a matter between Iran and Pakistan. As far as India is concerned, our stance towards terrorism is of zero tolerance. “We understand the actions that countries take in self-defense,” read the statement.
