Ace Frehley, original lead guitarist and founding member of the glam rock band Kiss The actor, who mesmerized audiences with his stunning make-up and smoky guitar, died on Thursday. He was 74 years old.
According to his agent, Frehley died peacefully surrounded by family in Morristown after a recent fall.
Family members said in a statement that they were “completely heartbroken and heartbroken” but would cherish his laughter and celebrate his kindness to others.
Kiss, whose hits included “Rock and Roll All Night” and “Detroit Rock City”, were known for their intense stage shows, which included explosions of fireworks, smoke and fake blood performed by band members in black and white painted faces, platform boots and black wigs.
Frehley and his band mates were included in Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2014.
