"Accept that even today, Pakistan is capable of carrying out some terrorist attacks but ...": Amit Shah at the end of infiltration.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday admitted in the Rajya Sabha that there are examples of infiltration into Jammu and Kashmir, saying that Pakistan has managed to carry out some terrorist attacks, but emphasized that the number of incidents was decreasing.

Speaking at the upper house, Shah said that the Narendra Modi government is committed to ending terrorism and infiltration.
“I believe that even today, Pakistan is capable of carrying out some terrorist attacks, and infiltration, but the number of incidents is decreasing. The Narendra Modi government is committed to ending terrorism and infiltration,” Shah said.
Targeting the Congress, the Union Home Minister alleged that no action was taken to intimidate the terrorists for many years.
“For all these years, no action was taken to intimidate them (terrorists), so why were they afraid? Earlier, we only kept sending the dosier, but Narendra Modi gave him a reply to (Pakistan) with an airstrikes and surgical strikes … the fear has been found (fear),”
Shah said, “The Congress has no right to ask the BJP’s questions about terrorism. The only reason for the terrorism spread in the country was due to the vote bank of the Congress and the politics of appeasement.”
Amit Shah said that the whole country was seeing how the priority of the Congress party was not ending national security and terrorism, but voting for banks and appeasement politics.
“Yesterday, you (Congress) kept asking why Pahalgam terrorists were killed? Shah said during the session.
Shah assured that the state of Jammu and Kashmir would be freed from terrorism.
“Under Operation Mahadev, we recognized the terrorists involved in the initiative attack. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, I assure that Jammu and Kashmir will be freed from terrorism,” the Union Minister said.
Referring to the recent comments of the Congress leader and former Home Minister in the UPA rule, Shah said, “Chidambaram demanded my resignation and interrogated Operation Sindoor. He repeatedly challenged the evidence that was involved in the Pahgam attack, Pakistani terrorists.”
“Today, I want to ask him what he was trying to save?
“Are you not ashamed of this?” Shah asked, “But by the grace of God, the day he raised these questions, all three terrorists were killed.”
Chidambaram, who served as Home Minister during the UPA tenure, recently said in an interview with a news outlet that the government was “prepared to disclose what the NIA has done in all these weeks. Has they identified terrorists from where they are guilty? I mean they all know. (AI)
