Srinagar, June 24, KDC: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Tuesday, while accepting a bribe in the Manasbal area of Safapora in Genderbal district of Central Kashmir, was officially caught with a red hand of a geology and mining department.
Sources told the KDC that the accused, Ghulam Mustafa Malik, a resident of Sadal Srinagar, was caught demanding a bribe of ₹ 10,000 and accepting. Malik is currently serving as in -charge of the Department of Geology and Mining for Safapora area in Genderbal district.
Acting on a specific complaint, ACB laid a trap in Mansabal, where Malik was caught with a red hand receiving bribe money.
The accused has been taken into custody, and further investigation is going on to find out the full scope of the case. More details are awaited. (KDC)
