Jammu and Anti -Kashmir Bureau of Corruption Bureau has registered a uneven assets case against a public servant, which was posted in CAPD in Banihal region.
According to a statement issued to the news agency-Kashmir News Observer (KNO), the case was filed against Shahilal Shokat Ali, which was posted at the Capted Department’s one night Chowkidar, Tehsil Supplies Office (TSO) Banihal.
The statement states that the case was started after a secret verification in the allegations that the accused had acquired adequate assets, both movable and immovable, both for known sources of income, along with their own names -in the name of their family members.
“Verification showed that the accused has deposited important assets, including a paletial double-storey residential house in Israbad, Jammu, another double-storey house in Banhal, several land plots, and luxury vehicles at various places. Additionally, financial documents and evidence were suggested.”
It states that during the investigation, the search warrants were obtained from the court, and in the presence of independent witnesses and magistrates, a comprehensive discovery was made in the residential complex of the accused located in Sidhara and Banihal.
During the search, 16 check books and five passbooks belonging to various banks, land documents related to properties at various places, history of international travel, foreign exchange notes, a passport depicting three official rubber tickets of senior officers, including Assistant Director, CAPD, Ramban and TSO Banihal and other growing materials.
