Chandigarh, September 20 (IANS) Leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Legislative Assembly, Partap Singh Bajwa on Saturday slammed the Aam Aadmi Party government, alleging that it was a systematic “selling state property to mask its frightening financial masmanment”.
Bajwa prolonged Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, Finance Minister Harapal Singh Cheema, and AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal, saying that “the three are leading Punjab to economic collapse, while trying to spread the assets owned by the five major government to 111 acres”, a step that is “as an attempt”.
Bajwa said, “This government has reduced Punjab for a bankrupt, wretched debris. What we are seeing is not governance, but the robbery of daylight – public property has to be looted to cover its own blunders,” Bajwa said.
The properties selected by a high-power committee on optimal use of vacant government land (OUVGL) include the printing press colony (eight acres) in Patiala, the printing press site (10 acres) in Patiala, the land of the Veterinary Hospital (2.27 acres) at the land (2.27 acres) in the shrone, the land of the Veterinary Hospital (2.27 acres) in the shrone, in the shrone.
According to Bajwa, these lands are not only valuable assets, but also have the capacity for public use and long-term state development-now “is being auctioned like a scrap to plug holes in the financial abuse of AAP”.
Digging Kejriwal, Congress leader Bajwa said that the AAP chief’s self-declared financial expertise lies in his former role as Assistant Commissioner of Income Tax, proved to be a “completely”.
“Kejriwal promised to raise Rs 34,000 crore annually by curbing corruption and Rs 20,000 crore from mining. Where is that money? We all see that smoke, mirror and now – Punjab’s property is sold,” Bajwa said. He warned that people are neither blind nor naive.
He said, “The people of Punjab have seen through AAP’s lies, deception and careless regime. They will reprimand the AAP a crushed electoral rebuke – one he would not be able to recover,” he said.
