A scooter driver arrested after dynamics in 70s allegedly punched the head

In his 70s, a person was arrested after a mobility when a scooter driver was allegedly left in a serious condition in the hospital after allegedly punched in the head.

The Northumbria police said the authorities received a report before 3.30 pm on Saturday, which for a serious attack in the Whitelles Way Round About at the junction with Navinson Avenue at South Shields.

It was reported that there was a dispute between a person in Nissan Micra and a person traveling on a mobility scooter on the road.

The man allegedly came out in the car and punched the victim in the head and neck, causing him to fall to the ground.

Emergency services participated in the scene and the victim – a person – in the 60s – was rushed to the hospital with serious injuries, where he lives in critical condition.

Police said that in the 70s, a person was arrested on suspicion of seriously damaging with intentions.

He has been released on pending bail in further interrogation.

The Northumbria police have appealed to the public for information and the force said on Sunday that it was “eager to find any witnesses that were in the area at that time”.
