A passenger bus in Cambodia crashed off a bridge into a river on Thursday, killing at least 13 passengers and injuring two dozen others, police said.

He told that all the people traveling in the bus were Cambodian citizens.
Siew Sovanna said a preliminary investigation showed the driver was feeling sleepy after the overnight departure from Siem Reap, which is usually a journey of about five and a half hours. He did not say whether the driver was also among the dead.
It is believed there were about 40 passengers on board the bus, and rescue workers continued to search for other victims on Thursday.
Siv Sovanna said the bodies of the dead would be kept at a hospital near the crash site until their relatives could collect them.
According to the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, traffic accidents in Cambodia are expected to kill 1,509 people in 2024, while 1,062 people will die in the country in the first nine months of 2025.
