Officials said that a minor boy drowned on Tuesday afternoon while bathing in the area of Srinagar.
An official told the news agency -Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that he drowned while bathing with other children from the area near the area today.
He said that soon after the incident, rescue teams were taken to the spot and started a search operation to detect the body.
The boy has been identified as Zaid Yusuf son of Mohammad Yusuf Bhat of Chiner Colony, Zainkote- (KNO)
