A man was beaten to death during an argument over garbage disposal in a village in UP.

A 60-year-old man was allegedly beaten to death by his neighbors following an argument over cleaning a garbage dump here on Tuesday, police said. He said that two people have been detained in connection with the incident that took place in Ghimarpur village of Wazirganj police station area.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Alok Priyadarshi said, “Ramanand and his family members were attacked by their neighbors during an argument over cleaning the garbage dump on Tuesday evening.

Ramanand was injured in the attack and was taken to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead. “We have registered an FIR in the case and detained two people,” he said. Further investigation is underway,” the officer said.
