In Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh, a person cooked a sand-loaded potato on a tandoor oven. The video has gone viral on social media.

A food blogger has posted a video of a man cooking potatoes in sand and his story has gone viral on social media. Amar Sirohi traveled to the Gola Bazaar in Mainpuri, Uttar Pradesh to taste the special potato dish and documented his experience in a video on his social media account.


In the video, a man was seen cooking potatoes in a pan filled with sand on a tandoor oven at his stall on the road at Gola Bazaar. 

To begin, the man put the potatoes in the pan and baked them in the sand for some time. After the potatoes were cooked, they removed them from the pan and placed them in a basket. 

Next, they peeled the potatoes and served them with coriander chutney, masala and butter. When asked about the price, he said that each plate costs Rs 20. 

He has been selling this special dish for the last seven years and is popular in the region. Amar Sirohi said in the caption of his post, “You have probably never tasted such amazing street food.”

The short clip has gone viral on social media while social media users have shared their views in the comments section.
