A huge fireball broke out after the Russian attack on the oil depot in Chernihiv region of Ukraine.

Footage released on Wednesday (October 8) shows a huge fireball and plumes of black smoke rising into the air as emergency service workers try to tackle the blaze using foam.

Following the attacks, the National Energy Company of Ukraine said that several areas of Ukraine had been left without electricity.

“The situation is most difficult in the Chernihiv region, where the local power company is forced to cut power for three hours at a time. Emergency repair work is ongoing,” the statement said.
