The Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi doubled on his claims of “vote thieves” during the 2024 Lok Sabha elections on Sunday and said that “clean” voter rolls are compulsory for free and fair elections.

Meanwhile, the Congress party said it will hold a meeting of its general secretaries, in-charges and frontal organization heads on August 11, which would “discuss a nationwide campaign against manipulation and electoral fraud in the voter list.
“The party is also opposing the special intensive amendment (SIR) of the electoral rolls in Bihar, as well as other partners of India block.
