Mumbai Indians legend Rohit Sharma scored his eighth Indian Premier League (IPL) hundred despite his team’s defeat against Chennai Super Kings on Sunday . Rohit scored a hundred percent off 61 balls as MI looked to chase a target of 207 runs. Rohit was the lone warrior for the Mumbai side as Chennai registered a 20-run victory. In the final round of the game, the killer reached a hundred points. After finishing with an unbeaten 105, Rohit started walking back to the dugout in an emotional and lonely manner, which summed up his mood.
Rohit hasn’t looked like himself since being stripped of the captaincy of Mumbai Indians. He wasn’t that happy on the court, and his reaction in the team’s locker room left fans curious.
MI suffered its fourth defeat in six games after losing to CSK, and Rohit’s lonely walk summed up his current situation with the team.
Haters will say that Rohit Sharma was happy to score a century and watch Mumbai Indians lose the match.
But the truth is, he is sad to see the house he built destroyed by the experiments of outsiders like Hardik Pandya. #MIvsCSKpic.twitter.com/QEHnqERLxj

Rohit’s hundred was not enough to erase the damage done by MS Dhoni in Chennai due to his late blitz and Matheesha Pathirana’s bowling.
MI captain Hardik Pandya admitted after the match that the target was achievable but his team could not put in the required bat.
“It (the goal) was definitely achievable but they batted pretty well. Pathirana was different. Their plan and approach was smart. They got the hang of it and there was a man behind the stumps ( Dhoni) told them what the job was and that helped. It (pitching) was a little bit difficult, it was about batting and keeping the intention until Patialana attacked and took those two wickets.
“That’s the best thing about that moment, we could have done a few things differently. I like to play percentage cricket and it would have been difficult for him (Dube) to go against seamers and not spin. We are building for what’s next To prepare for the four games, we need to play good cricket and maintain high intensity,” he said after the game.
