Patna, Oct 28 (IANS) Union Minister of State for Home and BJP leader Nityanand Rai on Tuesday sharply criticized the manifesto of the India Bloc’s Grand Alliance, calling it a collection of “false promises” aimed at “misleading” the people of Bihar.
He alleged that Tejashwi Yadav and his associates were trying to “sell dreams” and bring back “jungle raj” in the state.
Rai said, “Tejashwi Yadav and the people of the Grand Alliance have issued a bundle of false promises in the name of the manifesto. The people of Bihar know that these are the same people who want to establish anarchy in the state again.”
He urged voters not to fall prey to “misleading” claims and said the NDA government would return to power on November 14.
Rai said, “Tejashwi Yadav is claiming to make Bihar crime free, but the entire state knows who pushed Bihar into the quagmire of crime.”
He said, “If people fall prey to RJD’s false promises then broad daylight kidnappings, looting and murders will start again in Bihar.”
The Ujiarpur MP accused the RJD and the Lalu family of ruining Bihar between 1990 and 2005 and claimed that only under the leadership of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has there been real development in the state.
Rai said, “The people of Bihar will never again hand over power to anarchic forces.”
Taking a dig at Tejashwi Yadav, the BJP leader questioned his record in governance.
Rai alleged, “How many jobs did Tejashwi Yadav create during his jungle raj? How many roads did he build? Where did he provide electricity? Instead, he looted shops and houses, grabbed land and created an industry of kidnapping.”
Rai also highlighted the BJP’s record of fulfilling its promises.
“We promised to build a Ram temple, and it has been completed. We promised to build a grand temple for Mata Sita in Punaura Dham – construction has started. We promised to remove Article 370, and we did it,” he said.
He emphasized that the NDA government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made concrete progress in Bihar.
Rai said, “Thirty crore people have been lifted out of poverty across the country, of which more than three crore are from Bihar. Now every household has electricity and tap water and beneficiaries are getting free treatment worth Rs 5 lakh under Ayushman Bharat.”
Rai said many of the promises made by Tejashwi Yadav in his manifesto – such as free electricity, welfare for women and government jobs – are already being implemented by the current Bihar government.
“The NDA’s double engine government is taking Bihar’s development to new heights, from rural roads to infrastructure and employment generation,” he said.
