Mumbai:

A 63-year-old woman was allegedly strangled to death in Mumbai, Maharashtra, police said on Tuesday.

According to officials, the victim, identified as Jyoti Shah, was found dead in Apane in the Nepean Sea Road area of ​​south Mumbai.

Police said they were examining CCTV footage from the building, adding that they suspected the victim’s newly recruited nanny was involved in the crime.

Malabar Hill police have registered an FIR in the matter under Section 302 of IPC and initiated investigation.

According to police, the victim lived with her husband Mukesh Shah, who owned a jewelery store in Mumbai.

They added: “The recently recruited nanny has been reported missing since the incident.”
