Officials said the body of a 16 -year -old boy, who was drowned on Tuesday afternoon in the outskirts of Srinagar while bathing in Wetland, was recovered a few hours after a rescue operation began.
An official told the news agency -Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that the teenager had gone to bathe with other local children when he slipped into the water and drowned near the region.
He said that the rescue teams rushed to the spot soon after the incident and started a search operation, while his body was rectified.
The deceased has been identified as Zaid Yusuf, son of Mohammad Yusuf Bhat, a resident of Chiner Colony, Zainkote.
