Ukrainian forces hit an oil terminal, a pipeline, two grounded jet fighters and two ships in a series of attacks Russian Soil, officials said on Monday.

The attacks are part of an ongoing campaign to disrupt the Russian war effort and sow fear behind the front lines, where outnumbered Ukrainian troops are straining to hold off Russia’s larger forces after nearly four years of war.

The attacks also seek to undermine President Vladimir Putin’s efforts to portray Russia as a negotiator from a position of military strength in a U.S.-led peace effort that has yet to achieve success at key points.

Ukrainian forces attacked Russian territory and the Tamanneftegaz oil terminal, an ammunition depot and a launch site for attack drones inside Russian-occupied Ukrainian territory, Ukraine’s General Staff said in a statement on Monday.

A pipeline, two docks and two ships were damaged and a major fire broke out in the southern Krasnodar region, the statement said, without specifying what type of weapons were used in the attack.

It said a Ukrainian-made missile also struck the temporary base of Russia’s 92nd River Boat Brigade in Olenivka in the occupied Crimea peninsula.

The General Staff said a separate attack targeted an ammunition depot in the Russian-controlled part of the Donetsk region, aimed at slowing Russian advances there. A Russian launch site for attack drones was also attacked.

Ukrainian radicals opened fire on two Russian jet fighters in an operation Sunday evening at a base near Lipetsk, a city in western Russia, according to Ukraine’s military intelligence.

Russia’s Defense Ministry said only that its forces shot down 41 Ukrainian drones overnight, including three in the Krasnodar region.

Meanwhile, Russian forces continued to target Ukraine’s energy sector, aiming to deprive civilians of heat and running water during the harsh winter. Russia has tried to knock out electricity in Ukraine throughout the war, in a strategy Ukraine refers to as “weapons winter”.

Ukraine’s Energy Ministry said energy infrastructure in five regions was attacked during the night.

Ukraine’s Air Force said Russia attacked Ukraine with 86 drones of various types overnight. It said Ukrainian forces intercepted 58 of them.
