Popular Fitness Tracking Apps Strava has fired an employee who was arrested after he was filmed drunkenly attacking staff san francisco When the restaurant allegedly refused to serve him.

women, Nominated by the San Francisco Police Department Shirin Afkari, according to her now-deleted LinkedIn page, worked at Strava as Senior Manager of Growth Marketing and Retention.

A video posted on TikTok by employees of Hazy, an upscale restaurant in San Francisco’s Hayes Valley, shows Afkari verbally and physically attacking restaurant staff before he was eventually thrown out, as well as a man involved in the fight.

In a statement On Instagram on Wednesday, Strava said: “We are aware of an employee who engaged in extremely worrying behavior during off-hours. We do not condone violence of any kind and it does not reflect the standards we expect from our team.

“Last Monday, we decided to terminate that individual’s employment.”

speaking from san francisco KRON4Miguel Marches, a bartender at Hezzi’s who was at the center of the ordeal, said the couple arrived around 9 p.m. and staff quickly became concerned about their level of intoxication.

“It was a very busy night, the couple came in, they were requesting dinner service,” Marchese said.

“Initially, the server told me verbally that she could tell there were not only drugs on her table, but probably some other substances as well and that they were harassing her quite a bit and being quite verbally abusive to her and after that I believed that. [the server] Asked the manager to intervene.

Marchese said the manager removed cocktails from the couple’s table and asked them to leave.

“He takes her cocktails off the table because I’ve just made them, he brings them back and he just says to me, ‘They’ve had enough, we shouldn’t serve them anymore.’ And then later, it kind of turned into chaos,” he said.

VideoThe video, which has gone viral around the world, initially shows Afkari at the restaurant bar, holding her phone up and yelling, cursing and swearing at the staff, who plead with her to leave.

She taunts the staff by saying “oh” and accusing one of being a “liar” and a “mother****”.

At this point, she sees the camera filming her and lunges towards him, attacking him.

The viewpoint – in the uploaded video – then shifts to another camera, and viewers can see this part of the altercation from another perspective in which Afkari appears to attack the man – whom KRON4 has identified as an employee, who suddenly attracts even more attention from stunned diners around the room.

As the man she is with walks her towards the door, a staff member pushes Afkari hard, knocking her to the floor.

Afkari then gets back up and begins lunging towards other members of the restaurant staff, hitting a woman and heading back towards the dining area, where a large table of people, apparently having Christmas dinner, are sitting.

Several people grab first the man, who is also protesting, then Afkari, and throw them out the doors and into the night, to the shouting and cheering of other diners.

But the fresh air does little to stop the chaos, as video shows Afkari kicking and kicking Marchese and eventually being grabbed by her hair and refusing to let go as the group walks down the street away from the restaurant entrance. Meanwhile, the man is being held down by the head.

“She wrapped my hair around her hand and just pulled it on for dear life. It was quite painful,” Marchese said, adding that she only let go when he snatched her phone out of her hands.

After throwing her phone to distract him and drive him away from the restaurant, “like throwing a bone at a dog attacking you,” the woman then runs back towards the marches and the entrance of the restaurant.

This extraordinary scene reaches its climax when a man kicks his leg out, causing the woman to stumble, who falls heavily to the ground, and then gets up to scold his partner.

“She gets back up [and] She yells at her boyfriend that he’s not man enough,” Marchese said, adding that the video shows the man half-heartedly beginning to push other staff members away.

Finally the police arrived. He was taken to the San Francisco County Jail and detained on a charge of public intoxication.

“People who work in hospitality go through a lot,” Marchese said. “I’ve been spat at, I’ve been slapped in a bar before, used homophobic slurs, sexually assaulted by guests. It just happens and, you know, you have to move on.”
