As of 8 am, Anand Vihar recorded AQI of 418 which falls in the “severe” category, according to Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB)’s Sameer mobile application data.
AQI was recorded at 412 at Vivek Vihar station, while AQI at Jahangirpuri and Wazirpur stations was recorded at 403 level. The overall AQI of Delhi stood at 358.

Visuals received from various places showed a layer of toxic smog covering the national capital and visibility being affected.
Dense fog and poor visibility along with high AQI levels were recorded in India Gate, AIIMS, Mahipalpur, Akshardham Temple, ITO, Barapullah Flyover, Ghazipur, Kashmere Gate, Dhaula Kuan, Anand Vihar, RK Puram, Najafgarh and areas near JLN Stadium.
