Paul Doyle screamed “Move”, “F****** prick” And as soon as he drove his car into it, “Get out.” liverpool football fan Horrific footage has emerged of the abuse-filled violence.

Dashcam footage from Doyle’s car showed pedestrians pulling their children out of the path of the vehicle, while the former Royal Marine drove “in anger” into the crowd celebrating Liverpool’s Premier League title win.

The disturbing recording also shows a man landing on a car’s windscreen, causing it to shatter. Prosecutors said he was “completely overcome by anger” when he used the Ford Galaxy – which weighed almost two tonnes – “as a weapon”, injuring more than 130 people.

The footage, recorded between 5.59pm and 6.01pm on 26 May, was played at Liverpool Crown Court on the first day of a two-day trial, showing Doyle crying, putting his head down and closing his eyes. When the video was played, the victims also cried in the court.

Here’s a timeline of how Doyle’s actions turned a festive day into one of the darkest days in the city’s history, according to shocking footage.

5.29 pm

Doyle left his home at 5.29pm to pick up his friend Dave Clark in the city center and was seen driving “aggressively”. He routinely drove past other vehicles and ran red lights before turning onto Dale Street.

As Doyle’s vehicle entered Dale Street, an ambulance was ahead of it, trying to reach a member of the public who had become unconscious due to suspected cardiac arrest.

Prosecutor Paul Greaney Casey told the court that someone removed some traffic cones so the ambulance could pass to the left of the queued traffic, and Doyle went through the same gap a short time later.

Dashcam footage played in court shows Doyle following behind a bus, then moving to the right to see if he could make progress and walking over to a black Kia vehicle.

Despite the busy crowd, Doyle decided to press on to Dale Street, which became “a cause for concern to pedestrians”, including a man with a buggy and a child.

“The clear understanding from the dashcam footage is that the defendant considered himself the most important person on Dale Street, and believed that everyone else needed to get out of his way so he could get where he wanted to go,” Mr Greaney said.

5.58 pm

As Doyle “largely” remained among the crowd, he “continued to cause concern to pedestrians on the road”, dashcam images showed a man, who was walking with a child, put his foot on the bumper of a car to “protect” the youngster.

Doyle can be heard on the dashcam footage shouting: “This is ******* street.”

Mr Greaney said: “The prosecution’s case is that Paul Doyle was beginning to lose his temper at this stage, even though he had not already lost his temper.

Footage of the moments after Doyle charged into the crowd was shown to the court from several different cameras and angles.

The prosecutor said Doyle could be heard yelling while driving, “Get the f****** off the road, you f****** p****.”

Mr Greaney said: “The prosecution say he was an out-of-control man.”

He said Doyle reversed his car after parking it briefly on Dale Street and drove rapidly into the crowd behind, causing one member of the public to punch the vehicle and another to kick him.

Mr Greaney said: “He then quickly turned and walked towards the man before [who] Was kicking the car. He was using the Galaxy as a weapon.

He said someone opened the driver’s door and a clear plastic cup was thrown, but Doyle managed to close the door and then began moving through the “dense” crowd.

Someone punched the back window and a camping chair was thrown inside, the court heard.

The first person to be hit by the vehicle was Jack Trotter, who attempted to move out of the way but was struck by the Galaxy, injuring his leg.

Doyle then attacked a group of five people, including John Evans, who was thrown onto the bonnet as Doyle shouted “f****** move”.

He held it there “as hard as he could”, and despite Barr keeping his foot on the accelerator the Galaxie was eventually stopped.

Upon stopping, 77-year-old Susan Pasi, an 11-year-old boy, and teenagers Aaron Cauthliffe and Ethan Gilliland were all trapped under the car.
