David Lammy has demanded Nigel Farage cleans up his party After becoming the target of racist comments by reform candidates and councillors.

Hampshire Reform mayoral candidate Chris Perry has hit out at the Deputy Prime Minister after telling him he should “go home” where his “loyalty lies” to the Caribbean.

Mr Parry, a former Royal Navy rear admiral, also described four female colleagues as “harpists” and suggested Parliament would be filled with Muslim MPs by 2035.

Mr Lammy, who was born and raised in North London, recently wrote for Independent about horrific racism What he had to endure as a child and teenager.

Farage has been accused of racism in the past (PA) ,pa wire,

He said: “I experienced [racism] As a young boy growing up in London, where the ugly face of partition could be seen on a daily basis. I was scared when skinheads patrolled our neighborhoods and spread their hatred on street corners and football terraces. On one occasion, I was talking about my business with my mother and sister when we were made fun of – just for being who we are.”

The vile attack by Mr Parry was no different, although last week Ian Cooper, the council leader of Reform in Staffordshire, said in reference to Mr Lammy that “no foreign national or first generation migrant should be allowed to sit in Parliament”.

The Justice Secretary stated bluntly in a post on X (formerly Twitter): “I will never be afraid of racism.”

While Mr Cooper has been kicked out by Reform, Mr Parry still remains the party’s candidate in Hampshire.

Chris Large, another Reform councillor, has refused to endorse the comment describing Mr Lammy as “just another greedy man with no nobility”.

The controversy comes as Mr Farage struggles to deal with claims he made racist and anti-Semitic comments at school 50 years ago.

The allegations included claims that he had said “Hitler was right” and had imitated the sound of a whisper from the gas chamber.

Mr Faraz makes scathing comment on BBC about 1970s comedian Bernard Manning Recently in a press conference when he was asked about the allegations.

But the Deputy Prime Minister has demanded that Faraz clean up his party

Mr Lammy posted: “As Deputy Prime Minister, my focus is on getting things done for the British people and I ignore the noise.

“But in the last week I’ve been sent stories about this: A reformist mayoral candidate told me to ‘go home’ to the Caribbean, where he said my ‘loyalties lie.’

“A comment on a Reform councillor’s TikTok account has called me ‘a greedy person’ in support of a comment.’

“A leader of the Reform Council referred to me as saying ‘No foreign national or first generation migrant should be allowed to sit in Parliament’ – apparently unaware that I am a British citizen born in North London.”
