Anthony Alva-Palafox, 27, ran his car into the team at Anaheim High School on Tuesday afternoon before he himself was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries.

Anaheim police said Fox LA Alva-Palafox was showing “objective signs of intoxication” while they questioned him, prompting officers to conduct a DUI investigation.

The 27-year-old man was soon arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs.

Law enforcement also told broadcaster Alva-Palafox attacked the runners as they waited at a red light on the side of the road.
