After Louis-Dreyfus called the death plans “extraordinary”, Close confirmed that she is in the middle of renovations, with the stone portion of the house already completed.

“I think this week they’re starting the porch,” she explained. “There’s a little verandah that leads onto a terrace between the cottage and the big house. The thought of it makes me very happy.”

“You’re really controlling things in a way that most people don’t have the opportunity to do,” Louis-Dreyfus said. “And I think it’s extraordinary that you’ve been able to do that. And I’m thinking right now, I’ve got to build myself a cottage right here.”

Close then told Louis-Dreyfus that even though she is 78, it is not the age she feels.

She said, “I probably feel in my late twenties. Maybe early thirties.” “When I think about how old I really am, it surprises me. So I don’t think about it too much. Because I don’t think I fit into what people expect of you when you’re 78.”

Close has previously shared her thoughts about aging while working in Hollywood. During an interview in 2022 glamourHe criticized skin care routines, such as fillers and other procedures, that aim to prevent aging.
